Balance, Satisfaction and Profit With Freedom

The one common denominator most people want when starting a new business is to ultimately achieve balance, satisfaction and profit with freedom in their life.

There is just one small problem.

When building the business, everyone pretty much creates a business that turns out to be more of a job than a profit with freedom producing enterprise.

With this reminder, look at what you want in your life, not just in your business.

Do you want to keep specific hours and work in a single location or do you want more time at home with family.  

Should you open an office or store or work from home, from a resort destination or for that matter from a close by Starbucks.

Consider how you want to spend your time.

Do you want to keep 9 to 5, Monday through Friday hours or would working a more sporadic schedule that allows you to have other interests during “normal working hours” be a better fit for your desires.

How hard do you want to work?

Are you a physical work type person or do you enjoy mental tasks more. Are you best among groups of people or do you prefer the solitude of working alone?

The answers to these questions will give you clues on what you should be doing.

Someone who loves to build things with their hands will not be happy as an accountant working 40 to 50 hours a week in an office.

What kind of money would you like to earn?

Does $100,000 a year with a lot of free time interest you more than working 100 hours a week for a quarter million dollars annually?

Having  truthful answers to all of these questions will help you find the path that can lead to balance, satisfaction and profit with freedom.

All you have to do is:

• Admit what you want out of life. What brings you joy?
   

• Admit what you would do whether you were paid for it or not.
   

• Admit how hard you really want to work.

Then create a life in business that supports those goals and provides all the things you are seeking.
