The Power of Choice

At the start of every day, each one of us has a choice to make. That choice is, will we be happy and productive or will we simply hope to get through the day.

Happy and productive people live longer, enjoy life more, tend to have more free time (because they make it a priority and schedule it in) and get more done in less time.

They are also magnets that attract success into their life.

The reason it seems so easy for those who choose happiness over stress is that other people around them want to be part of this unseen positive energy. Everyone enjoys being around people that are upbeat and productive.

Exactly what is the energy that other people enjoy?

In the early 1900’s a man named Wallace Wattles wrote a book called The Science of Getting Rich. In it, he spoke of a “formless substance.” He went on to say, Every thought of form, held in a thinking substance, causes the creation of the form.”

Today we call that “formless substance” subtle energy. Whether you realize it or not, your state of mind in every moment creates impressions that affect others through the subtle energy everyone shares.

Happy and productive people tend to attract others with the same mindset.

You constantly make choices as you go through your day. Your reaction to everything that happens attracts more of the same. Stress brings more stress. Calm and productivity also duplicates.

Choosing to live in a happy and productive state is simple and difficult at the same time.

It’s simple because all you have to do is change your mind and create a new outcome when things are stressful. It’s difficult for the same reason. When you’re in a “funk” it can be hard to break the pattern.

The easiest way to break out of a stressful state is to walk away.

Take a few minutes to sit quietly and close your eyes.

Breathe deeply.

After you calm down for a few minutes, picture the outcome you would rather create and imagine the steps you would take to get there.

Write down the steps you envisioned and follow them. By writing the steps down, you are creating an action items list.

All you have to do is simply choose to follow those steps instead of remaining lost in the confusion and stress of a moment.

You’ll find your mood lift. As you accomplish the steps, you will also find stress dissipates.

When you make the choice to organize your thinking and move forward in a focused manner, you’ll get more done, attract the people and events that support your lighter state of mind and see greater results in less time.

After that, make the choice to take a little time to enjoy life more. You can do it by using the power of choice and focused action to create the happy and successful life you desire.
