What Are You Doing Right Now

When is a moment? Why it’s right now. But then you might ask, when is right now and the answer would be now is where ever you place your attention at a given moment.

Golf taught me a lot about right now. If you worry about a past shot that wasn’t so great it will inhibit you from taking action now that will create what you’re actually looking to achieve.

It’s the same with the future. If you worry about the future while playing golf you’ll negatively affect your ability to execute in the present moment or right now.

What should you pay attention to?

Only pay attention to what is happening right now, in this very moment because right now is all you can truly change.

When you think about it, your life is really just a series of moments strung together to create days, months, years, decades; even centuries.

It’s fine to plan for the future and create a map that you can follow. But following any map starts with a single forward movement. That forward movement happens right now.

So worrying about the past is futile because it cannot be altered; only learned from. Learn the lesson and apply them to your actions right now.

Worrying about the future is equally pointless. The reason is your actions right now affect the future you live, so focusing on the only time you can change makes the most sense. Of course, that time is right now.

It’s odd to say, but most people do not realize what is happening to them at any given moment.

They lament a past that cannot be recovered and worry about a future that has yet to occur but totally miss everything that is happening between the past and the future.

Focus on right now for just today and see what you noticed that you may have missed otherwise.
