Here’s Why You May Feel Depressed

There are days in small business when you may feel down.

There are days when you question why you ever even started your business in the first place.

And there are days when you are so down and wonder so hard why you ever got into your business that you simply don’t know what to do. So you just sit down and feel hopeless.

Those are the days that border on feeling depressed, overwhelmed and desperate. If you ever experience those depressed feeling days, here’s what to do about it.

First realize why you are feeling depressed.

Business owners feel depressed because they don’t see a path. They never developed the strategy, tactics and systems to attract interested prospects, generate sales, and build their business consistently.

As a result, they wing-it every day, not really knowing exactly what to do to build their business.

The best way to get back on track is to focus on sales. Few people ever feel depressed when business and money is rolling in the door.

The reason is, revenue generating activities give you hope of a brighter future while increasing your cash flow today.

The best way to get started is to talk to a knowledgeable friend.

The best knowledgeable friends you can ever talk to are your existing clients.

Start by talking to clients you know really find value in the work you do together. Check in; get their perspective on your business.

It’s easy to do if you just call and tell them, “I’m working on my business and wondered if you might help me. Can you tell me what the greatest value you feel you’ve gained from working with my company is?”

Then listen and write down what they say. The answer they give you is the key to the door of sales increases.

Use those words to sell into new client accounts.

Analyze your best clients.

Who are they? What industry are they in? How did you find them in the first place? What is the greatest value they tell you they’ve received from working with you?

This understanding allows you to reach out to other people who are just like them.

It makes sales more enjoyable. If you enjoy sales you’ll focus on it more.

When you focus on sales, everyday is hopeful. Every day brings the potential of growth and success.

The only reason anyone has ever failed in business is they did not create enough sales.

The best way to create enough sales is to focus on the value you’ve created. Understand how it benefits other people.

Then simply share that value with new potential clients every day.

As a reader of Creative Business Strategy, you have a distinct advantage over other businesses.

Take advantage of it today, by scheduling a free, sales process evaluation.
